Additional information
We bring our animals and trained handlers to your location, whether indoor or outdoor. However, we can only be outdoors if the temperature is above 50-60 degrees. If over 90 degrees, we prefer shade and water access. For indoor events, we prefer concrete or tiled area, since our animals might pee or poo! Also, we are fully insured for liability. We bring fun and education together—plus, our "Zoo 2 You" packages are great for photo ops!
Typically once we have unloaded all of the animals, our handlers will spread out so that people can interact with the animals at their own pace. In more educational environments, we are able to introduce the animals in a presentational format. In these cases, we often will present one animal at a time and go over some facts about the animal and then walk the animal through the audience for a quick interaction. After all of the animals have been introduced we can spread out so that kids can be taken through as groups or wander individually to further interact with the animals.
Our priority is the safety of the animals and our handlers may limit levels of interaction based on how the animal is responding and the age of the audience. Examples of this can be seen when we think an animal may be very squirmy because they are about to do their business. We don't want them to do it on you, and we don't want you to freak out because of how wiggly they are so a handler may give the animal a break from being pet or passed around. Additionally, kids tend to drop animals when they move suddenly, this sometimes means a kid cannot hold the animal or they must be seated.
